Are you scrambling for a last minute Mother's Day craft for your kids? Here's an easy project.

  • Take a food jar (applesauce, tomato sauce, mason jar, etc.) and rinse it out well.
  • Using a bit of chalkboard paint, paint a panel on the front of the jar. Alternatively, you can purchase chalkboard labels at a craft store.
  • Write a message to that special mom in your life.
  • Drop in some flowers.

Now you have a personalized gift! Best of all, after Mother's Day, you just wipe off the message, write "No. 1 Dad" and fill the jar with Dad's favorite candy or golf balls and you're ready for Father's Day!
