Easy Spring Decorating & Fun Craft for Kids: How to Grow a Centerpiece of Wheat Grass by Cheryl Leahy
Want to teach your kids about gardening and create a beautiful centerpiece in the process? Grow a container of wheat grass!
Here's how to make it:
- Put decorative glass pebbles in the bottom of a pretty glass container for drainage.
- Add organic soil on top.
- Let your kids plant a packet of wheat grass seeds, sowing them just under the layer of soil.
- Add a bit of water and place the container by a sunny window.
Voila! Our seeds sprouted in just a few days and grew quickly into a patch of grass. For Easter, we'll add colorful eggs to the centerpiece. Now that's a real LIVE decoration!
