Going to the Movies With Kids? 4 Steps to Make It Calm - for Them and for You! by Eirene Heidelberger

Want a calm movie experience with your kids versus saying "sshhh" every few minutes? Start by telling them the behavior you expect them to have before going into the theater. Choose a location where you have their attention, either in your car or outside the theater. Share these simple rules:

  • Everyone stays together while buying tickets and snacks.
  • Sit calmly on your seat and don't kick the seat in front of you.
  • Whisper your movie commentary or save until the end.
  • Plan ahead and bring your own drinks and snacks to save money on expensive concessions.

Enjoy the show!
