Standardized Test Season: How to Relax & Support Your Kids! by Annie Dillon
Spring brings flowers blooming, birds chirping and students taking standardized tests. Plenty of preparation and good teaching is occurring in the classroom. If you want to do more, ask your child's teacher for tips or example problems (most states have websites with sample tests). But, the best way to truly help at home is:
- encourage your child to do their best
- be sure they are well rested
- have very little stress in their life
- eat a healthy breakfast
Love and support at home will go a long way in a stressful couple of weeks of testing. Encourage everyone to breathe!
