Hand Over the July 4th Decorating to the Kids (Here's Why!)

Having a July 4th party this year? I found an easy and cheap way to show off our patriotism and have a festive party. I bought American flags in various sizes, each on a tiny wood stake. I gave them to my kids and told them they were in charge.

The kids placed them along the sidewalk, by the mailbox, in the flowerbeds and pots and a few along the back fence. The girls had a ball and my yard is showing our spirit. Add a few lights and an outdoor centerpiece and voila – you're ready for guests! Save the flags and other decor for Labor Day and Memorial Day celebrations, too!
