Trying to Change But Think You've Failed? Here's Why You Haven't! by Dr. Christina Hibbert

If you're trying to make change but feel like you've failed, I want to tell you you're wrong. Making change works like a spiral staircase – and there are six stages of change.

  • We have to know we need change, contemplate and prepare before we even take action (which is stage four!).
  • Then, we have to maintain the changes we've made before we can stop working on it.
  • You work your way up the spiral, and sometimes, you work back down.

But what matters is that you're still working the spiral. Most people take six trips up and down before change sticks!

Glad you shared this! I will keep on my spiral movements, because it IS action toward my goal. Thanks, Christina!
