Give Kids Holiday Ornaments for a Lifetime of Memories (Start This Year)!

We are blessed to be Godparents for several kids. Some of them are related, some are kids of our friends. Several years ago, I started a tradition of giving each of them a Christmas ornament, either on top of their present or instead of a present. Each year they get a new one, and by the time they move out on their own, they have several of their own ornaments to decorate their own tree.

It's so fun to hear them talk about the different pieces they've received and how they look for them each year. Whether it's your own kids or some special ones in your life, ornaments are a great gift idea!

I give my kids a new ornament every year, @janmostrom. My youngest is 19 and I still do it, and now I've started this tradition with my grandson. It makes such great memories. I love finding that special ornament for each of them that reflects their interests or something they're going through, etc. that year.
