Nothing beautifies a yard or balcony more than pretty pots filled with flowers. And they become a labor of love when you share the project with your kids. Consider letting each child be in charge of his or her own pot. Then, take them to the garden center, where they can pick out the flowers and plants that appeal to them.

With your help, kids can design their pot, then plant their flowers. Each child is then responsible for watering and maintaining his or her pot. It’s a healthy family bonding activity, a source of pride for them, and helps you enjoy your yard or balcony even more!
