Zero-Waste Lifestyle Tips: How to Find Companies That Support Your Zero-Waste, Plastic-Free Goals by Jan Mostrom

One of my ongoing goals is to be more conscious of the products I'm consuming and to buy products that are kinder to our planet. After doing a bit of research, I found many companies that are providing products to help move us toward those goals both by the products they sell and the way they ship the products to us.

One of the companies I found and really appreciate is Well Earth Goods. Their products provide the opportunity to switch out items in your home for more sustainable and earth-friendly options. I've swapped our plastic toothbrushes, floss and Q-tips for bamboo options. I've swapped heavy jugs of plastic laundry detergent for laundry sheets and even found hair ties that are plastic-free. (Watch my first video about laundry sheets.)

I also really appreciate the manner in which they ship their products. Cardboard boxes affixed with recyclable tape (normal tape isn't recyclable and should be removed from cardboard before it hits the bin), and empty space filled with brown paper to be composted or recycled.

If you are trying to reduce waste, find companies that can partner with you to make small changes toward a home with less waste.
