Are You Adding to Your Kid's School Test Stress? Read This!

I just got another lesson from one of my kids. My youngest son told me I was stressing him out. You see, we moved mid-semester, and my poor kids have had to try to catch up. Now, it's finals week, so they're facing exams given by teachers they've only had for a few weeks.

I've been offering to help, but to my youngest, when I worried aloud about how he would do, he heard expectations he couldn't meet. He doesn't want to disappoint me. No kid wants to let his mom down. It felt good to talk. I know he'll do his best – I just needed to tell him I knew that.
