Mardi Gras Coloring Pages: 10 Free Printable Coloring Pages of Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) by 30Seconds Mom

Mardi Gras, or Fat Tuesday, is a carnival celebration that falls the day before Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent. The celebration is full of fun, activities and food, with a highlight on the parades where beads and other trinkets are thrown from elaborating decorated floats. But why do they throw beads?
Legend says that in the 1880s a man dressed as Santa Claus started throwing beads from the floats, and then everyone else followed his lead. Now, it's customary for krewes to buy mass quantities of colorful breads to throw to parade attendees. How fun!
If you can't make it to Mardi Gras, why not have your own Mardi Gras celebration at home this year? You can start by printing out these free printable Mardi Gras coloring pages. (We also love this shoebox Mardi Gras float craft and shortcut king cake recipe.)
