Does This Look Like a Woman Who's About to Have a Stroke? An Inspiring Letter From a Young Mom Who Had a TIA Stroke

Let’s not mince words. Does this look like a mom that’s hours from a TIA stroke (transient ischemic attack)?

No! No, it does not. I am literally at a loss for words. Maybe because having a stroke takes away your ability to read and write.

It’s utterly ridiculous that I ran myself into the ground to this level.

Whatever you are doing that is in anyway not aligned with yourself, your goals, your feelings and anything you are doing that is not to your highest good – ditch it! Right now! Peace out. See ya later. No looking back. End of the line. Goodbye. Free yourself. You are worthy of balance, harmony, kindness and true love.

Take it from me! Please.

Staying up all night wrapping presents and decorating the tree – not worth it! Your kids will love Christmas no matter if there are presents under the tree or not! As long as you are there!!!

I was not. Again.

As women we buy the bullshit of sunshine, perfection and rainbows. The horizon is yet but a receding line and you will never make it, period. And you’ll run to death trying if you are in a hurry, disconnected from your own inner wellness and not centered and creating what is authentic and true to YOU.

Not society.
Not your mother.
Not your sister.
Not your church.
Not your job.
Not your partner.
Nothing.

Nothing will stop you from manifesting your own unhappiness like comparison shopping, should-a-would-a-could-a and certainly not neglecting your own health for the “wellness/happiness/understanding/acceptance” of anyone, thing, time, place, space or creation that will never be authentic.

You won’t make it.

Maybe not as early as my health issues, but you won’t M.A.K.E. I.T. Don’t kid yourself.

You need a tribe and a few people who don’t give a f*ck and love you unconditionally. Settling for anything less is losing you your life.

Carry on, beautiful soul. Trust yourself. Listen to the nudges and for god's sake can everyone stop pretending to be something they aren’t.

Sincerely yours,

Brittany
