World Kindness Day: During the Coronavirus Pandemic, What Does Kindness Mean to You? by Nicole DeAvilla

Happy World Kindness Day! In normal times we might think of a kind gesture such as a hug, an embrace, making a meal for someone, handing someone our water bottle and offering a drink. (Oh, no! Definitely not that!)
Yep, it’s different now during the coronavirus pandemic. But some things never change when it comes to kindness:
- A smile. Yes, people can tell you are smiling even with a mask on your face.
- Be kind to yourself.
- Kindness does not mean being a doormat.
- Be respectful.
- Be compassionate.
Today I want to offer you a virtual (((HUG))) and a virtual bouquet of flowers.
I will be celebrating World Kindness Day this year with an international group of colleagues in India, Switzerland and Sweden (I am in California) to discuss this very topic. I hope you will join us. Learn how!
How are you spending World Kindness Day – or for that matter every day – being kind?
