Bring Grandma to This Virtual Story Time: The Story Lady Reads "15 Things Not to Do With a Granny" by M. I. McAllister by Audra Mitcheson-Soley
Margaret McAllister, author of 15 Things Not to Do With a Granny, is an award-winning author who comes from the northeast of England. Before writing fulltime she taught drama and dance, cleaned churches and worked in a retreat house. She is married to a minister and has three grown children.
"15 Things Not to Do With a Granny" is McAllister's first book for Frances Lincoln. Holly Sterling, the illustrator, was born in Dublin and grew up in southern England. She studied Illustration and Design at the University of Sunderland, and is currently studying for an MFA in Illustration at Edinburgh College of Art. She was highly commended for the Macmillan Illustration Prize in 2013, and winner of the Seven Stories/Frances Lincoln Illustration Competition in 2012.
About the Book: The hilarious follow-up to 15 Things Not to Do With a Baby has all the warmth and humor of its predecessor, focusing on the relationship between children and their granny. DON'T hide an elephant in Grandma's bed. DON'T send Grandma up to the moon in a rocket, or wear her pants on your head, or give her squashed jelly beans on toast for breakfast. But do dance with Grandma, listen to Grandma's stories, hug her and love her lots. She loves you!
