Ways to Use Fresh Herbs: How to Make Herbal Tea With Herbs From Your Garden

With my flower pots of herbs overflowing and rosemary growing in several places in the yard, finding new ways to use fresh herbs was a priority. While making a pot a tea, the idea came to me to put some herbs into the infuser and make a homemade herbal tea. The tea was so refreshing and you could taste each herb without it being overpowering. I drank it cold, over ice, but it would be just as good served hot.

You'll need:

Here's how to make it:

Put the desired amount of tea into the infuser on your tea pot. (You can purchase the tea pot I am using in the Amazon links below.)

Add the fresh herbs. (I used a combination of rosemary, oregano and thyme.)

Add water and place over low heat.

Right when the water is about to boil, turn off the heat and allow to steep. Serve hot or over ice.
