Spin Painting With Kids: Art Spinners Can Provide Hours of Creative Play for Kids & Help Students Reach Out to Their Teachers by Tiffany Zook
Moms and dads, I’m sure many of us are in the same boat and looking for creative outlets while our kids are out of school because of coronavirus (COVID-19). We created some beautiful art pieces with my 6-year-old recently using an art spinner. The art spinner provides my preschooler and middle-schooler with a way to explore colors, textures and, of course, glitter.
- We use acrylic paints and jumbo glitter glue pens to drip dots of paint and watch them spin into magical creations.
- We hang up the completed squares on clothes pins (that are lit by LEDs) and enjoy them as a fanciful clothesline masterpiece.
- Once dry, we mail them to their teachers as notecards to stay connected with them.
