Looking for an easy celebration for New Year's Eve? A progressive dinner party provides the right mix of food, fellowship and fun without all of the planning and preparation required for hosting a party on your own. 

• Get together with a fun group of friends (for transportation reasons, neighborhood groups work best), and divide the work between you.

• Start at one house with appetizers, move to the next for salads, another for entrees and finish the night with desserts at the last house.

• If you have more or less hosts, you can add or delete courses as needed. You can also make it kid-friendly or get a group babysitter.

And remember, never drink and drive! Have fun!
