Dragonfly: From Blurriness & Bottles to Hope & Optimism After Divorce

It was a year ago that my life changed forever.
It was a year ago that my entire world blew up in front of me.
It was a year that I will never get back.

It was a year of agony, grief, guilt, pain, frustration and chaos.
It was a year of trying to survive every minute of the day.
It was a year of blurriness and bottles.

The blurriness is gone.

This year will be filled with new memories and traditions.
This year will be filled with hope, optimism and strength.
This year will be better.

Dragonfly symbolizes change, transformation, adaptability and self-realization. The change that is often referred to has its source in mental and emotional maturity and understanding the deeper meaning of life. ... The dragonfly moves with elegance and grace.

I just love this, Kim Wadsworth . I have been through the pain of divorce, and this captures it so well. I'm sorry you went through this, but yes, you are a dragonfly. And, this year will be better. It gets better every day you are past it. Sending lots of positive energy your way. Thank you for sharing this beautiful poem!
