Foundation of a Relationship: 4 Keys to Building Stronger Relationships

Is love really the foundation to any relationship? Go ahead, you can think about that for a minute. OK, times up! Well, the short answer to that question is yes. And the long answer to that same question is absolutely yes.

When you think about a well-built foundation, it can withstand anything that tries to come against it to try to make it fall. We need the foundation of our relationships to remain strong, and in so doing we will be able to withstand anything that would try to tear it apart.

We can start a relationship with a firm foundation, however, if we allow too many “hits” against that foundation, it will weaken over time. Therefore, our focus must be: don’t let love take a hit. A “hit” is anything that doesn’t build up and add quality to anyone that you are in a relationship with, and for that matter, anyone you may come into contact with. Here are four keys to help you build a stronger foundation in your relationship:

  • Be kind.
  • Be patient.
  • Be forgiving.
  • Be gentle.

How do you keep your relationship’s foundation strong?
