Magic of Storytelling Campaign: How You Can Help Disney Put Books Into the Hands of Kids & Educators

Disney and ABC have launched a campaign to get books to those in need called the Magic of Storytelling. Now through March 31, 2019, for every “shelfie” taken and posted on Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #magicofstorytelling, Disney and ABC will donate one book (up to one million books) to the organization First Book. First Book helps get books to kids and educators in need.

First Book believes that education is the best way out of poverty for children in need. First Book aims to remove barriers to quality education for all kids by making everything from new, high-quality books and educational resources to sports equipment, winter coats, snacks and more – affordable to its member network of more than 400,000 educators who exclusively serve kids in need.

Since 1992, First Book has distributed more than 175 million books and educational resources to programs and schools serving children from low-income communities in more than 30 countries. First Book currently reaches an average of 5 million children every year and supports more than one in three of the estimated 1.3 million classrooms and programs serving children in need.

So grab your favorite book, snap a photo with the hashtag #magicofstorytelling and #30Seconds, and help a good cause. Here are some posts from Twitter to motivate you:

My first book was about Disney World. My mother bought this book for me to learn English. I realized that it was a simple book about the complex. The second book is the Silmarillion. I fell in love with Tolkien’s universe and the beauty of his words. I read all the books of the Lord of the Rings and the publications that came out after the death of the author. These are excellent texts that have the philosophical basis of human existence. I think this book can be a guide to the world of fantasy. I am sure that this tale will be the longest in your life.
