Meet Emma Quisenberry of The Gem Foundation & Help Give the Gift of Hope This Holiday Season by Tiffany Zook

Meet Emma Quisenberry of The Gem Foundation & Help Give the Gift of Hope This Holiday Season

Meet Emma Quisenberry. At age 6 she prayed a simple prayer: "God, please pick me to serve the orphans." At age 19, she packed up and moved to Africa to do just that.

Emma began The Gem Foundation, now home to 40 plus special needs children in Kampala, Uganda. Special needs children in Uganda are often neglected, abandoned or abused and the current dormitory is running out of room. But Emma hasn't quit dreaming – or praying.

The dream? Gem Village, a fully handicapped accessible community for 200 children on 88 acres, complete with sensory gardens, wheelchair paths, onsite medical facility, fresh fruits and vegetables, and educational workshops for the locals.

The prayer? That others partner in changing the life of a child once forgotten. Today, we are building Road to Hope, where every foot we lay leads to 24/7 nanny care, proper nourishment, physical therapies, schooling, loving caregivers and jobs for locals. Where every foot we lay leads to a village full of children who now thrive and smile along with a family that adores them.

Please join us, foot by foot, as we lay the Road to Hope. Give the gift of hope, and watch the Gem Village groundbreaking ceremony
