How to Travel Without Spending a Fortune: Never Think You Are Stuck in One Place

Let us take a detour from the road of travel. I see all these social media posts about traveling to beautiful places – places that would cost a fortune. Let’s face it, not everyone has the money to spend on travel (even if we wished we did). Now, don’t get me wrong, I know some of you are thinking, “Why couldn’t you?” The short answer would be: I am working toward other important things at this point in my life. As I am sure a good percent of us are.

I just wanted to let you know even if you can’t travel to all these places physically, you have another option (no, not the television). Read. Yes, reading can bring you anywhere you want to go, even to places all these traveling social media posting people can’t physically go.

A book is a good alternative to the whole traveling vs. finance issue. The best part is you can go back in time! I have “traveled” to many places in my lifetime. For me, I also travel by writing myself into a story, which is a creative and inspiring way to travel with others, allowing those readers to visit your written world.

As you work toward your traveling destination, write or read your traveling heart out. This option also relieves stress.
