"Cordelia and the Whale": Do the Thing! It Only Seems Impossible – Until It's Not! by Michelle Nelson-Schmidt

Once upon a time.
A girl decided to do a thing.
It seemed almost impossible.
And it was hard.
Sometimes it made her cry.
Sometimes it made her yell.
She got tired and overwhelmed at times.
People encouraged her to keep doing the thing when she got tired and overwhelmed.
Some people got mad at her for doing the thing.
(But mostly they encouraged.)
Some days she doubted herself.
But most days?
She believed in herself most of all.
And that girl?
She is just about done doing the thing.
She’s already thinking about the next almost impossible thing to do!
She’s super happy and super proud of herself.
And super in love with every single person who helped her along the way.
She loves you. She loves you lots.
