Kid Conversations & a Daily Dose of Kid-Spiration: Here's a Fun Way to Get Kids to Open Up & Think! by Michael Kennedy

If you could have dinner with three people past or present who would it be and why? Lately, I’ve been reading a lot about daily mantras for kids, positivity, enlightenment and empowerment through conversation. But seriously, who has time in the middle of a daily parent grind to be super creative and turn this stuff into action? Eh hem … Elf on a Shelf, anyone?
Our kids were getting bored with the same old “Have a good morning,” "How was your day?" rotations, so we decided to spice it up with some fun daily questions, quotes and conversations. Fast forward to my 4-year-old dragging me through the cheap section of Target (you know the one by the front door). Mini dry erase board for 2.99? I’m in.
My wife and I got our Google on and printed out a couple lists of quotes, questions and mantras and stuck them in our drawer. Each day we change it up with a question on top, quote on the bottom. It only takes 30 seconds (wink).
The kids actually look forward to them now and it gives us a morning shot of inspiration, too. It may work for you, it may not, but we have a lot of fun seeing what our kids come up with.
Here's one for parents who read this: If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why?
