To make this simple green tea ice cream, you'll need just a few ingredients: heavy whipping cream, sweetened condensed milk, matcha green tea powder (read about the health benefits of matcha) and vanilla extract. That's it! The gluten-free ingredients are whipped in a mixer then put in the freezer until set. So easy!

  • If you would like a less strong green tea flavor, use 2 tablespoons of green tea powder. If you prefer a stronger flavor, use 3 tablespoons of powder. 
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer.

Here’s how to make it:

  1. Pour the heavy whipping cream into the bowl of your mixer. Whip the cream on medium to high speed until stiff peaks form.
  2. Slowly add the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla while continuing to whip on low. Turn the speed up and whip until thick.
  3. Add the green tea powder and whip until combined.
  4. Pour into a freezer container and freeze until firm, at least 4 hours. Serve.
