Baltic Amber Teething Necklace: A Different Alternative for Baby's Teething Pain

When my baby started teething, I had no idea what I was going to do with her. She was crying all the time. When she wasn’t crying, she was whining. She wouldn’t eat as much as she did before, and she was waking up almost every hour. I took her to the pediatrician, and he said that the only thing I could do for her was give her Motrin and Tylenol. I didn’t really want to, but I didn’t really think I had a choice.

About two days into giving her Motrin and Tylenol, I was talking to my friend and she said that she used a Baltic amber teething necklace. I didn’t understand how a necklace could help, but I was interested because she said it was natural.

I researched baby teething amber necklace to find out why it helps babies. Apparently, it’s the succinic acid in the amber that helps. It is said to have the power to decrease inflammation, reduce arthritis pain, boost the immune system and much more. It may even help with headaches!

I also read that the baby teething amber necklace should be Baltic amber. Baltic amber is apparently higher quality, so it has more succinic acid in it. I found a website, Baltic Wonder, that sells necklaces that are made from amber beads produced in Lithuania. This country is said to be the leader in quality amber.

It only took a couple of days for the necklace to arrive. I put it around my baby’s neck, but as the day went on, I started to feel nervous, so I switched it to her wrist. This way, I didn’t have to worry as much about strangulation.

It was day four that I started to notice that my daughter, Bella, wasn’t so whiny and miserable. Her mild fever was gone, and she wasn’t drooling so much. At about day seven, she was back to her usual self.

It’s been a year since she first wore the necklace, and she’s never had any other teething symptoms. This natural remedy for teething has been our saving grace.

Editor's note: Necklaces and beads are choking and strangulation hazards for young children. Use them at your own risk and always under parent supervision. Always consult your child's pediatrician with any questions you may have about teething or other health conditions.

I bought two amber teething necklaces for our son. I would take it off during naps and nighttime sleeping for fear of choking. He would wear it during the day and seemed pretty happy. He eventually started asking to wear it. It’s definitely worth trying!!

Wow, that is pretty cool

My cousin had one for her son and she thought it was the bee's knees. Not sure where she bought them.

They are amazing! We used to sell them like crazy at my store because parents swear by them. I wore them for pain in my wrists from being on the computer and they worked! Just be careful where you buy them, on Amazon there are a lot of fakes so make sure whoever you but it from has a guarantee of authenticity.
