When my husband and I won tickets to the Grammy® Awards we had no idea the crazy experience that awaited us. When we pulled up to Madison Square Garden it was PANDEMONIUM. This little country mouse was petrified in the big city rush of police officers, drug dogs, photographers and people waiting to catch their favorite stars on the way in.

We were ushered by police officers onto the side red carpet (which is so not the celebrity red carpet) and went through a TSA-style security check point to get into the building. Our tickets were in the nosebleeds at the very top of the stadium, but that made the experience no less amazing.

The acoustics were incredible, and a music lover like myself was in heaven. I just couldn't believe I was. at. the. Grammys! What a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

All of the Grammy® performances (Kendrick Lamar, Bruno Mars, Ben Platt, etc.) were incredibly moving in their own ways, but I definitely had my favorites, like Lady Gaga, Pink and Kesha. Everything from the pyrotechnics to watching the four stages being broken down and rebuilt in between performances was fascinating.

After the show was over there was an extremely disorganized rush to the doors and to get down the six flights of stairs (in heels and long evening gowns!) to exit the building. After sitting for four hours we were ready for a cocktail at the after party!
