#30Seconds Live: Chicago Toy & Game Fair (ChiTAG) With Mitchell Barman From Magformers! by Elisa A. Schmitz 30Seconds
Something drew Mitchell Barman from Magformers to our booth at the Chicago Toy & Game Fair (ChiTAG). Was it our magnetic personality, or was it Magformers, his magnetic construction toy for ages 3 and up? Who knows, but we loved Magformers! What makes Magformers different from other magnetic toys is that they’re made from Neodymium magnets – rare earth magnets – so no matter what you do, they connect. Because of the plastic they’re made of, neither kids nor parents can break them, which makes them super safe. Cool, right?
“One of the great things about this is the STEM education value,” says Barman. We love that this toy gets kids more into STEM!
Kids can build whatever they can think of with Magformers. There’s about 50 different shapes of Magformers – squares, triangles, circles, half circles, rhombus, hexagons, diamonds, etc. – and there’s about 150 different accessories available. The Magformers 187-piece set is up for Toy of the Year! Congrats! The sets come with an idea booklet to get kids’ imaginations going, and then it’s up to them to create, learn and stretch the limits of creativity.
