#MotherhoodRocks: Mom, Be Here Now – He’ll Be Gone Before You Know It (Here’s My Secret)

He’s crawling. He’s driving. He’s out the door – in the blink of an eye. My son was born yesterday and he’s 14 now. Mom, whether your child is 18 months or 18 years, join me in being present to your own life. In making it a priority and letting everything flow from there. If not, we’re as good as gone. It’s just too easy to get caught up and be distracted. Now, the holidays are here.

But here’s my secret: When I’m present to life, I know who I really am and what I must do. My heart’s voice wells up from within and guides me. Of course, I must trust it. Now that I’ve been living like this, for a while, I see each day that I’m in the flow and my life is like a grease chute because I get everything I need. It’s like starring in my very own play that’s being written and directed by my very best friend – the Universe.

I enjoy the big and little things with my son. And when it comes time for him to say yes to life and move on, I may shed a tear, but I’ll know he’s ready because I’ll have given him the best of me. Are you with me, mom? Then breathe. And breathe again.

Oh, how right you are, Gail Harris ! My son (and daughters) were just born yesterday, too, and now they are all in college. What happened, LOL! Savor every moment! xoxo

@elisa. What happened is right. It takes constant vigilance to be in the moment and making it our priority. ❤️
