Parents, Awaken Your Own Fire: Nurturing the Creative Spirit of Kids Through Play

To work with children I believe you need to have a playful heart. The best part of childhood is kid’s playful innocents about life and learning and exploring. Or as Vince Gowmon says in his book, “Let the Fire Burn: Nurturing the Creative Spirit of Children,” it begins with awakening your own fire. Once it is awakened, you and the child are then connected. Once your fire meets your children’s fire, you come to a place of equality understanding and trust – and you can play along in your children's world.

I think what Vince is trying to tell us is to enjoy life and engage with your children every day. Life is too short to not play and enjoy life.
