Back-to-School Tradition: How to Host a "Boo Hoo/Yahoo" Breakfast for Moms

As we say goodbye to summer, many of us are filled with various emotions. Some are anxious as we prepare to send our babies off on their first day of school (whether they're 5 or 18!), while some are ready to dance a little jig as the school bus pulls away.

Celebrate the day by reconnecting with friends and even making new ones. It doesn't have to be complicated or fussy, the key is gathering for fun, support and some yummy treats. It can be as simple as having some doughnuts, coffee and juice at someone's home or meeting at a designated time at a local coffee shop or restaurant.

The first day of school can be especially hard for kindergarten moms who are not only sending their children off to big-kid school, but are entering a new world of their own. Be a shoulder for them to cry on, toast to their new normal and give them the opportunity to walk into a future PTA meeting or school event and be able to pick out a friendly face in the crowd.
