Business Trips Can't Be Avoided Mom, But They Can Be Made Less Stressful! Here's How! by Nance Arquiett
Leaving your little ones at daycare each day can be hard, but leaving them for days to travel for work can be downright stressful. Try these simple tricks to take a little anxiety out of your leaving so you can keep your head in the game!
- Leave a thorough care package for whomever will be caring for your brood while you are away. Include emergency contact information, medicine lists, sun block, etc.
- Set out clothing for the days you will be away. Include socks, shoes, underwear, swimsuit or any weather-related clothing you think may be needed.
- Leave behind an activity for your family. Activities may include a basket of movie night goodies,a new board game or a nature scavenger hunt.
Having emergency items easily at reach or clothing prepared not only makes it more convenient for the caregiver, but gives you peace of mind. So, relax. You have laid out everything that will be needed while you are away. The first business trip will be the hardest. They will miss you, and you will miss them. But they will be OK, and so will you.
