Want to Live a Happy & Fulfilled Life? Make Sure You Do This! by Ann Marie Gardinier Halstead
A Harvard study concluded that when it comes to living a life of fulfillment, there’s one thing that people should prioritize above all else. A hint: It has nothing to do with wealth or success; it has nothing to do with social status; and you can begin doing it right away. The Grant & Glueck study, which examined nearly 75 years' worth of data, reveals that the secret to achieving happiness and fulfillment is quite simple: Spend time with the people who make you happy.
According to Robert Waldinger, Harvard professor and director of the center behind the study, “close relationships can make or break a person’s well-being.” It’s important to note that quality, not quantity, is key. “It’s not just the number of friends you have … it’s the quality of the close relationships that matters.”
The bottom line? Waldinger puts it this way: “The good life is built with good relationships.”
