Potty Training: 6 Tips From a Laid-Back Mom's Point-of-View

Are you ready to potty train – or not? So, the whole toilet training thing is something that I'm quite laid back about. Being an ECE teacher, I don't actually like the term “toilet training,” because like anything children do, they will learn in their own time. These would be my top tips for teaching your little one to use the toilet:

  • Recognition is the key.
  • Let them watch how the toilet process works.
  • Encourage them to use it.
  • Celebrate success.
  • Remember accidents happen.
  • Keep it positive.
  • And just remember all children will get it someday, some earlier than others.
