Guy Time: Why It’s Important for the Entire Family (Including Mom)!

If you have a boy (or two), here’s a question for you, mom: When was the last time he and his dad spent time alone together? Just the two of them in their own special way. Whether playing football, doing homework or family chores or just goofing off, you know it’s the bonding that matters. And you – the wise one – may have to get it going.

Whatever his dad’s schedule, use your smarts to make it happen. Cry sick, if you must. The good news is if it’s good for them it’s also good for you. That’s how life works. So, while they’re doing their thing you can do yours. Yes. Your own special alone time awaits you. It’s up to you to make the best of it.

So, let the men in your life unite! Then go gossip with the girls. Get a pedicure. Take a yoga class. Or nap. The world is your oyster.

Everyone should have 1:1 time .
Mommy son 1:1 time
Mom daughters 1:1 time
Dad son 1:1 time
Dad daughter 1:1 time

YES! Guy time, and father daughter time... actually all one-on-one time makes a huge impact on both parent and child. It gets trickier with bigger families, but it's so necessary! Right on Gail Harris (and Mike Prochaska too!)

Sarah Aadland Thanks for joining in. One-on-one time is so necessary. A special kind of intimacy.
