Resilience: Why It's Your Most Important Self-Care Tool! by Julie Burton
Most of us would agree that we are living in a very uncomfortable time right now. No matter where you sit politically, the resurgence of hate in this country is disarming. We are frightened. And we need something solid to lean on. That “something” lies in our individual and collective strength, otherwise known as RESILIENCE.
- Remind yourself and your children that life involves both challenges and victories. Acknowledge your own struggles and triumphs that have led you to who you are and where you are today.
- Trust your power to stay hopeful and positive by showing gratitude and compassion toward yourself and others.
- Do not jump on the hate train. It is a road to nowhere. Look deep into yourself and one another for understanding and healing.
We are resilient. We will persevere.
