Helping Kids Learn: Why & How to Celebrate Those Skills & Achievements!

For kids with complex learning profiles, finding opportunities for success can get lost in the hard work of attaining developmental skills that may appear “easy” when compared to same-aged peers. While the work is hard and the struggles are “intense," the achievements merit celebration.

  • Take time annually to review previous goals to recall the progress achieved
  • Remember home routines that have evolved with your child
  • Review old photo albums to see how your child has grown
  • Project into the future to plan for the next phase of accomplishments

Reflecting on the past allows you to plan for the future. Share the successes that have been achieved and help your child to be proud of the journey that has been traveled by your family.
