Money-Saving Hacks: My Best Secret to Saving Money on Groceries!

We're all looking for ways to save on groceries, and one method has literally saved my family thousands and thousands of dollars over the years. Once, when I was shopping early on a Monday morning, I discovered that our local supermarket had reduced prices on many items in the meat, dairy and fresh vegetable department. I loaded up on these items, sure it was a fluke.

Lo and behold, the very next Monday morning, the same thing happened! They weren't advertised sales, these were markdowns due to expiration dates. Apparently, I had discovered the store did markdowns every Monday – after the weekend – on items expiring that day. If your work schedule allows it, plan to shop at around 10 to 11 a.m. on a Monday morning and you just might find some incredible deals!
