The Most Wonderful Time of the Year: But Is It, Really? How to Remember Who's the Boss

This time of year is ca-razy because there are just too many things happening in a very short amount of time. So here's how to show this month who is boss: YOU!

  • Do not over-commit to plans and make sure to hit the road prior to meltdowns. Never feel guilty for being the first family to exit.
  • Schedule in downtime for the entire family. Your kids' brains are on overload with the decorations and activities, so plan at least one day a week for everyone to re-group at home to ensure holiday season survival.
  • Keep one list of all your to-do's and hire up, swap errands with mom friends and definitely let it go if there's no way to make something happen.

All you have to do is remember what's really important: staying focused on being a shiny, happy mommy. I'm cheering for you!

Great advice, Eirene Heidelberger! It's easy to lose yourself in the season - and not in a good way. Thanks for the reminder!
