No More Bullying: 7 Ways Kids Can Be an "Upstander" Against Bullying! by Pepi Silverman

Bullying prevention is a never-ending battle, but teaching kids to be an "upstander" can prevent bullying from ever occurring in the first place. Kids often fear retaliation and stand by rather than taking action. By teaching kids to “stand up,” they can become empowered and create deterrence from future actions. Help kids to protect against bullying by doing the following:
- Don't laugh
- Don’t become an "audience" for the bully
- Reach out in friendship
- Help the victim in any way you can
- If you notice someone being isolated from others, invite them to join you
- Include the victim in some of your activities
- Seek adult assistance
Together, we can put an end to bullying.
