Financial Status Doesn’t Create or Eliminate Child Abuse (a Must-Read)!

I read this case study and it hit home with me because of a young kid I have spent years trying to help. To no avail. Socioeconomic status has nothing to do with quality parenting. Kids who grow up under the guidance of a loving parent will exceed any barriers before them due to money alone. Parents who are disadvantaged economically, but have the love in their in hearts to provide discipline and direction to their kids, are raising stronger kids than those who have money and participate in verbal or physical abuse of their children.

Our kids' self-talk begins with what we say to them. We all have hard times. Don’t take frustrations out on your kids. We, collectively as parents, have an obligation to love our kids.

Well said, @tweenspot. I couldn't agree more.
