Your Journey to Mental Wellness With Dr. Shefali, Dr. Christi Hibbert, Dr. Sarah Allen & Jill Ceder!

As parents, we bandage scraped knees, prepare healthy meals and schedule well checkups to keep our kids healthy, but what about their mental health? And what about you, Mom? Moms tend to put themselves on the back-burner in all areas, but especially when it comes to mental health. We’ve gathered some extraordinary women who excel in the field to help you and your family start – or enhance – your journey to emotional wellness. We’re so fortunate that all of these amazing women are expert contributors at 30Second Mom!

Who We Love: Dr. Shefali Tsabary
Dr. Shefali Tsabary is a world-renowned clinical psychologist, international speaker and Oprah-endorsed author of the books “The Conscious Parent” (forwarded by His Holiness the Dalai Lama) and “Out of Control – Why Disciplining Your Child Doesn’t Work and What Will.” She specializes in the integration of Eastern philosophy and Western psychology.

Why We Love Her:
Dr. Shefali is a visionary who helps raise parents into a higher state of mindfulness. Her first book, “The Conscious Parent,” revolutionized the parenting journey and allowed parents to transform their relationships with their children. Her unique perspective in her second book, “Out of Control,” explained why traditional means of discipline just don’t work on kids and what we should do about it. She invites parents to enter the realm of the transcendent through inspirational words with #consciouscards, #consciousconversations and #consciousinsights. Dr. Shefali takes it even a step further with her #endshame movement, where she explains why parents need to stop shaming their kids and start creating connections.

Who We Love: Dr. Christina Hibbert
Dr. Christina Hibbert is a clinical psychologist, author of “This is How We Grow” and “Who Am I Without You?“, speaker, blogger, radio show host and mom of six kids.

Why We Love Her:
Dr. Christi loves moms. As an expert on women’s mental health, grief and loss, motherhood, parenting, perinatal mental health, self-esteem, and personal growth, she covers all facets of womanhood. She founded the Arizona Postpartum Wellness Coalition, a non-profit that educates women, families and providers on perinatal mental health, and produced the DVD, Postpartum Couples. Dr. Christi espouses the notion that we moms can indeed have it all, in the right time and season, and she leads by example with often raw authenticity. And above all, she keeps it real as a married mom raising six kids that is full of insights and hard-learned lessons to share!

Who We Love: Jill Ceder, LMSW
Jill Ceder, LMSW, is a social worker, therapist and parent education expert practicing in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Why We Love Her:
Jill is a mom practicing rational parenting – with a side of humor! She works with women, children and families, specializing in maternal mental health, parent education and support, relationship issues and life transitions. She believes changes is possible and takes an active and personal role in her patients’ journeys. Jill wants everyone to accept that they are “good enough,” and feels too many strive to be perfect, which hinders our ability for self-acceptance and growth. And, she’s the childcare expert on About.com!
