Feeling the pressure to give your kids the perfect, idyllic summer? Are you picturing weekend getaways, fireworks, boat rides and trips to the beach, with smiling, laughing children as you look on, dressed stylishly with Audrey Hepburn sunglasses shading your eyes from the bright sun?
Hang on. Before you get carried away, remember something: no one ever said we had to have big expectations for a season of the year. No one said there had to be fireworks or a boat. No one said we even had to travel. Let’s give ourselves a break and think of summer as an opportunity to enjoy the warm weather and slow down a bit.
