Kids Have "Impossible" Homework? Let 'Em Do It Alone - Really! Here's Why!

Is your child asking you to help with homework? It’s tempting to help, but it’s more daring to take a step back and let them try on their own, according to a New York Times article

Be there to help with instructions, but let them know that you know they can do it – and so does their teacher. Teachers don’t want the best – they wants the child’s best! 

“We can be so beautifully surprised at how our kids step in, step forward and really claim that agency and responsibility in their own lives,” said Julie Lythcott-Haims, a former dean at Stanford University.

So take a step back and see what happens!
