Make Hard-Boiled Eggs Easier to Peel (You Won't Believe How It's Done)! by Christie Gosch

Cooking Tips

I’ve tried many ways to make hard-boiled eggs easier to peel, because we eat a lot of them in my family. The best way I have found is to not boil them at all. The process of boiling moves the eggs around in the water, which makes them hit the inside of the shell as they are cooking. Steaming the eggs is a way of cooking them without jostling them around, therefore keeping the membrane intact between egg and shell and achieving an easier-to-peel egg.

Here's how:

  • Put your eggs in a steamer.
  • Once the steam begins, set a timer for 16 minutes.
  • Cool eggs.
  • Peel!

Enjoy how easy they are to peel!
