Mommy Wisdom: 9 Secrets to Being a Happier Mom & You!

Want to be a happier mom – and you? Here are nine tips I’ve picked up from moms far wiser than me, and from my own 10 years of motherhood!

  • Take good care of yourself.
  • Stop comparing yourself to other moms. Just be yourself. Isn’t that what we tell our kids?
  • Simplify your life.
  • Make time for YOU. Whatever makes you happy, makes you laugh, calms you down – do it!
  • Practice daily gratitude.
  • Have girls' nights out.
  • Have date nights.
  • Be OK with OK. Stop chasing perfection. Your kids don’t need perfect, they need YOU.
  • Ask for help when you need it. We all need it!

Now those are rules to live by!

I love the inspiration I get each day on 30Seconds, and so much of it comes from you two - Ann Marie Gardinier Halstead and Kelli Schulte! Thank you, chicas! xo

That means so much to me, Elisa, especially since YOU inspire ME! This tip is funny in that I partly wrote it as a reminder to myself. :) We all need reminders about self-care sometimes, I think!

Awww thank you @elisa. I so appreciate you and all that you have done to provide such a supportive and encouraging community of women. I legitimately feel so blessed and inspired to be part of it! And Ann Marie Gardinier Halstead I so agree....most of the stuff I write is a reminder to myself...or based on my own mess ups! : )
Just love this community!
