Want to Teach Kids Social & Emotional Skills? Ask These Questions!

A New York Times article delved into the pros and cons of teaching kids social and emotion skills. Experts agree it’s important, if not vital, that kids learn these skills. While the testing debate rages on, here is a tip for parents to help their kids develop these essential skills: Ask questions! 

  • How do they feel? 
  • What went on in the playground? 
  • What do they think about situations – good and bad – they experienced at school and throughout their day? 

There is more for kids to learn then the three R's!
