I know it seems counter-intuitive to the holidays, but try to pass on the sugar. As much as possible, avert your eyes and walk right on by the goodies. Cookies, cakes, candies and other holiday treats only make you feel good for a moment and then you have to live with the consequences – zapped energy and guilt.

Too much sugar sucks away your energy, mood and goals. Occasional treats, absolutely; every day treats, not so much.
