Kids & Terror: How Mr. Rogers’ Words Can Help Shield Our Children From Violence

We all continue to be shocked and saddened by the horrific terrorist events around the world. As parents, it's our job to shield our children from the constant media blast of coverage. But, what do we do if our children are exposed to these images? In the words of Fred Rogers...

"When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’"

Try to remember Mr. Rogers' words and share them with your kids. There are many "helpers" in the world who are kind and caring. They are who we need to highlight to our children!
