World Breastfeeding Week: 7 Ways Breastfeeding Benefits Mom's Health!

Babies aren’t the only ones who benefit from breastfeeding. Nursing moms get great health benefits, too.

  • A mom can burn 400 to 500 calories a day while breastfeeding, which is great because we know how difficult it is for busy moms to find time to get to the gym.
  • Studies show that women who have breastfed may have reduced rates of breast cancer, ovarian cancer, and a reduced risk of developing type 2 diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis and cardiovascular disease.

Perhaps best of all, it’s a wonderful way to bond with your baby and enjoy a special connection during this fleeting time!

I absolutely loved breastfeeding my two girls. It's the greatest if it works for the mom!
